7th Montreal International Adventure Film Festival - October 22 to 25, 2008

The 7th Montreal International Adventure Film Festival is back. This year's event runs October 22 to 25 at UQAM's Salle Marie-Guérin-Lajoie. Festival goers will experience journeys off the beaten path, along with intense travel and sporting adventures. With approximately 30 films, four conferences, panels, exhibitions and life-changing adventures, the festival will be a treat for fans of discovery and wide open spaces!

- A celebrity speaker to open each night's screenings.
- Presentation of the annual Homage to Quebec Adventurers over the course of several special events.

- Nine (9) Adventura Awards bestowed by the jury, plus a people's choice award.
- Exhibitions and panel discussions as well as screenings.
- Opportunities for informal meetings with international directors during the Café des aventuriers.

November 11 to 21: The best of the fest goes on tour

Great Adventure Tour takes place November 11 to 21, 2008, visiting seven cities in Québec: St-Jérome, Sherbrooke, Gatineau, Québec City, Rimouski, Rivière-du-Loup and Jonquière. Each one-night stop on the tour will feature screenings of the best films selected for the 2008 MIAFF.
