Join them in their second year for two days of screenings at Tribeca Cinemas in downtown Manhattan, with an eclectic selection of international and American feature films, shorts and documentaries.
Tickets and passes will go on sale in early October. Entries for feature films, shorts and documentaries, as well as screenplays are now being accepted at http://www.gothamscreen.com/.
Set up by a group of Gotham based producers and productions companies, the Gotham Screen screenplay contest is specifically targeted at up and coming writers who don't have agency or management representation yet but would otherwise have the talent and craft to make it in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
The contest comes new this year with a $2,500 cash prize for the winning screenplay, and excerpts from selected entries will be preformed live at a staged reading. Gotham Screen hopes to find writers who are serious about their craft and ready to work with producers in further developing their screenplays and stories.
