Adrian Grenier's Reckless Productions and J. Loar, Inc. today announced its partnership. Actor and producer Adrian Grenier, who brings his star power from the hit show "Entourage," attracted financier John Loar, founder of J. Loar, Inc. because of their mutual interest in film projects with a social conscience. Their first joint venture is J. Loar, Inc.'s financing of two Reckless Productions documentary films.
Based in Danville, Calif., J. Loar, Inc. is an investment group comprised of partners John Loar and Tom Halbach. Loar has logged more than 20 years in senior management, with experience in business development, operations, venture funding, mergers/acquisitions and real estate. He is also co-founder of Red Bird Cinema, a production company with actor/writer/director Kevin Pollak and St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, which currently has four film ventures in the works.
J. Loar, Inc. has strategically partnered with Reckless Productions, founded by actor/producer/activist Adrian Grenier, who has a long successful track record in the entertainment business. Reckless Productions was founded in 2007 and is focused on the production of films and documentaries for the social good.
With its new partnership, J. Loar, Inc. and Reckless Productions will produce a variety of documentaries and films. Among the films are "Where Are Who Now," a film that traces the musical odyssey of the Los Angeles band The Good Listeners as they set out to record their third album, and "The Untitled Media Culture Documentary," a film that examines the relationship between celebrity and society.
